In 1903, George Wyman rode across Iowa along the very roads that would become the Lincoln Highway, some 10 years later

The Iowa Lincoln Highway Association has enhanced the historic significance of this important travel route by incorporating the dozen Iowa Wyman Waypoints into their Lincoln Highway Heritage Byway - Interpretive Master Plan  There are 32 references to Wyman in the PDF document linked above.

If you are interested in the historic significance of the first Transcontinental Highway, know that George's route from San Francisco to New York City was along the roads that would become the Lincoln Highway. What a great way to experience both George's historic journey along the now historic Lincoln Highway.
