524.2 Carlin RON - Memorial

Battle Mountain to Carlin NV, May 24

"...I finally got to Carlin at 7 p.m., having made 58 miles after the hardest day of work I had yet had. I turned a fire hose on the motorcycle at Carlin in order to soften the mud so that I could wipe it off..."

Waypoint Today:  Wyman rode into Carlin along a "good stretch of gravel road" after leaving Palisade.  His motorcycle got muddy after a torrential thunderstorm.  His motorcycle was caked with mud, so he sought a place to wash his bike before seeking lodging for the night.
