"... I got to Egbert at 12:45 and had dinner at the section house there...."
Waypoint Today: Wyman rode into Egbert along the Transcontinental RR and stopped for a lunch. There is no trace of the UPRR Section House today. Although, it would be very close to the RR siding, probably on the Egbert side of the tracks.
