623.1 Kensington RON Memorial

Chicago to Kensington IL, June 23

"...It was not until the morning of this day, June 23, that I got my new motor crank by express, and it took me nearly all day to fit it and get the engine together again. I lost no time in getting away from the Windy City. I did not want to stop there one hour longer than I was obliged to do. I left there that same evening....I left there at 5:30 p.m., on June 23, and made my way to Kensington, 23 miles east."

Waypoint Today:  The Kensington Commuter station today stands at the location of the original Kensington Station.  In 1903 the Kensington Station was the hub of the community. Wyman did not describe where he Remained Over-Night (RON).
